Heather Skogerson, Managing DVM
Dr. Heather Skogerson graduated from Colorado State University in 2002. She has been practicing in Nevada, California and Florida in a variety of settings from private practice, shelter medicine and Emergency Medicine. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and building her library of classic literature. She is excited to be back in Northern Nevada and managing a new direction for Carson Tahoe Veterinary Hospital with Urgent Care Veterinary Medicine.
Janice, Veterinary Assistant
Janice has been working with Carson Tahoe Veterinary for over 10 years. As one of our most senior staff members, Janice helps to train and support the evening emergency crew. Her strengths are as a critical care nurse, neonatal nurse, and providing quality medicine to her patients. When not at work, Janice enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying all that Carson City has to offer.
Acacia, Veterinary Assistant
Acacia has been here at CTVH for over two years. Acacia recently obtained her Associates degree and is currently taking prerequisite classes for veterinary school. Her overall goal is to complete her bachelors/doctorate degree and become a Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Here goal when she becomes a DVM is to always provide high quality support and innovative care to animals in need. Acacia spends her spare time volunteering and will soon be volunteering at Animal Ark in Reno. She states "There is nothing more gratifying than being apart of the care and treatments of these wonderful animals."

Molly was born and raised in La Honda, CA. She moved to Nevada when she was 19 years old. Molly has always had a love for animals growing up on a farm in the Santa Cruz mountain range. It gave her some experience in the world of animal care at a young age. Molly is currently one of our wonderful client care coordinators who has been with us for a little over 8 months. She is working on gaining knowledge and experience to advance her career in the veterinary field. In her spare time Molly enjoys spending time with her dogs, painting and baking.

Lexy, Veterinary Assistant
Lexy started her veterinary career in 2015 working at a fast paced veterinary hospital in San Diego, CA. Lexy is known to have tremendous compassion and excellent animal restraint/ handling skills. Lexy was looking for a slower pace of life and adventurous place to take her two Husky's on hikes. So she relocated to South Lake Tahoe and has started new with us here at Carson Tahoe Veterinary Hospital.
